The UCLA men's golf Blue Team on Tuesday won the Braveheart Classic, hosted by UC Riverside at Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont.

The Bruins posted team scores of 286 (-2) and 288 (E) over the final 36 holes for a 54-hole score of 865 (+1). Cal Poly finished in a tie for second with Santa Clara at 884 (+20), followed by San Diego at 886 (+22) and Southern Utah at 889 (+25).

The victory was the fourth for the Blue Team this season

Junior Chris Heintz won his first collegiate title with a 54-hole score 209 (-7). Heintz posted rounds of 70-70 on the final day. Freshman Lucas Lee tied for second place 214 (-2), closing with a final round score of 69 (-3). Sophomore Brandon Christianson tied for seventh at 219 (+3), aided by a one-under par score of 71 in the second round. Sophomore Matt Marshall and junior Peter Campbell tied for 39th at 227 (+11).
