Bruins Finish Eighth in Las Vegas

The 19th-ranked UCLA men's golf team tied for eighth place and two UCLA players placed in the Top 20 at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Invitational Sunday, which ended on Sunday.
The Bruins recorded a final round team score of 299 (+11) for a 54-hole total of 888 (+24). Host UNLV won the tournament with a three-round score of nine-under par 855, followed by Oklahoma State at 856 (-8) and top-ranked Georgia at 870 (+6).
Individually for the Bruins, senior Erik Flores posted the team's top score of the day, a two-under par 70 to finish in a tie for 14th at 219 (+3). Freshman Gregor Main tied for 19th place at five-over par 221 after posting a 76 (+4) on Sunday. Sophomore Philip Francis and freshman Beau Schoolcraft tied for 29th at eight-over par 224. Francis recorded a final round score of 77 (+5) and Schoolcraft carded a 76 (+4). Sophomore Connor Driscoll also posted a score of 77 (+5) and tied for 67th place at 17-over par 233.
Georgia Tech's Cameron Tringale fired a final round 68 (-4) and won the tournament with a three-round total of 205 (-11).
