TEMPE, AZ - UCLA's red hot men's golf team, winners of two straight tournaments, trails the leader by just two shots entering the final round of the ASU/Thurderbird Invitational at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, AZ. First place Oklahoma State is clinging to a one shot lead at three-over par 579, followed by Arizona State at 580 and the Bruins at 581 after 36 holes.
UCLA's Jeff McGraw is alone in third place at 141 (69-72) and teammate Brandon DiTullio is tied for fourth at 142 (68-74). They trail Oklahoma's Kevin Muncrief (68-72-140) and Cal's Dan Arroyo (69-71-140).
The Bruins recently won the Stanford Intercollegiates and the UC Irvine Anteater Invittitonal to raise their season victory total to four, the most tournament titles since the 1985-86 season.
