Golfers are Runners-up in Georgia

The fourth-ranked UCLA men's golf team placed second at the U.S. Collegiate Championship Sunday in Alpharetta, GA.
The Bruins posted a final round score of 295 (+7) for a 54-hole score of 875 (+11), one stroke behind host Georgia Tech, which won the event with a three-round score of 874 (+10). The Yellowjackets recorded a score of 292 (+4) in the final round. USC was third at 879 (+15), followed by Virginia at 880 (+16) and Stanford at 881 (+17).
Individually for the Bruins, freshmen Jonathan Garrick and Jake Knapp had the best finishes. Garrick tied for ninth at 218 (+2) after a final round score of 75 (+3), followed by Knapp's even par 72. Knapp tied for 28th at 222 (+6). Sophomore Matt Pinizzotto tied for 41st at 224 (+8) following his score of 73 (+1) and Manav Shah tied for 46th at 225 (+9) following his score of 75 (+3). Junior Anton Arboleda tied for 50th at 226 (+10).
Stanford's Patrick Rodgers won medalist honors with a final round 67 (-5). He had a 54-hole score of 209 (-7).
