A six-hour weather delay in the second round has forced the Men's World Amateur Team Championship in Turkey to be shortened to 54 holes.

The United States still held a commanding lead at 24-under par through eight holes in the third round.

UCLA seniors Pedro Figueiredo and Pontus Widegren were competing for Portugal and Sweden, respectively. Overall, Sweden was five-under par through 13 holes in the third round and tied for 14th place. Portugal was one-over par overall through nine holes in the third round and tied for 22nd.

Figueiredo, who posted a three-under par 69 in the second round to move to five-under after 36 holes, was four-over par at the turn in the third round and tied for 32nd at one-over par overall.

Widegren posted a 76 (+4) in the third round and was two-over par in the third round through 12 holes. At six-over par overall, he was tied for 95th on the individual leaderboard.
