Men's Golf Prepares for Two Tournaments

The fourth-ranked UCLA men's golf team prepares to play in a pair of tournaments this week.

Playing at the Pac-12 Preview at Pumpkin Ridge in North Plains, OR, Oct. 8-9, are junior Anton Arboleda, sophomores Matt Pinizzotto, Manav Shah and Jay Hwang, and freshman Lorens Chan. The Witch Hollow Course will play to a par of 72 over 7,017 yards.

Participating in the Cal Poly Firestone tournament Monday and Tuesday are sophomore Preston Valder and freshmen Jonathan Garrick, Jake Knapp, Reilly McMahon and Aaron Kunitomo. The event will be played at Monarch Dunes in Nipomo, CA.

In other news, seniors Pontus Widegren and Pedro Figueiredo completed play at the Men's World Amateur Team Championship in Turkey Sunday.

Widegren led Sweden to a tie for 12th and Figueiredo led Portugal to a tie for 32nd. Figueiredo tied for 53rd individually at two-over par following a final round 78 (+7) and Widegren tied for 70th at four-over par after posting a 71 (E) in the final round.
