UCLA sophomore Patrick Cantlay made the cut this morning at the Frys.com Open and shot a third round 70 (-1) to put him in a tie for 67th place.

Cantlay's three round score is 213 (E) and the sophomore has now made the cut in all five PGA Tour events he has played in this year. Patrick also finished runner-up at the U.S. Amateur earlier this summer.

Three former UCLA golfers also made the cut this morning. John Merrick posted a third round 67 (-4) and is tied for 26th place at 208 (-5) while Brandt Jobe recorded a 65 (-6) to put him in a tie for 13th at 206 (-7). Finally, Tom Pernice Jr. shot a third round 66 (-5) to give him an overall score of 209 (-4), good for a tie for 38th place.
