Senior Pontus Widegren (Danderyd, Sweden/ Danderyds Gymnasium) of the UCLA men's golf team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 16-22.

Widegren picked up his second career victory, winning the CSU San Marcos Invitational at Twin Oaks GC with rounds of 64-66-68---198 (-18) to set a new school record in relation to par. Widegren's 54-hole total of 198 tied the school record set by Kevin Chappell in 2008, and his round of 64 tied his collegiate best and ranks tied for third on the school chart. Additionally, his round of eight-under par (64) ranks in a tie for second on the school chart.

This is Widegren's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
