Day One Update from College All-America Tournament

Two UCLA golfers completed play at the Western Refining College All-America Tournament Monday in El Paso, TX. Bruins Anton Arboleda and Pedro Figueiredo played for the first time in the annual event at the El Paso Country Club. Arboleda, an Honorable Mention All-America selection in 2012, posted rounds of 70-65--131 (-7) and was four shots off the lead. In his first round, Arboleda recorded four birdies and three bogeys for a one-under par round of 70. In the afternoon, he made six birdies -- three on each side -- and fired a six-under par round of 65. Figueiredo, a 2nd Team All-America selection last year, had rounds of 73-70--143 (+1) and was tied for 21st. He made three birdies on the day. Alabama's Cory Whitsett and UNLV's Kevin Penner were tied for first place at 131 (-11) entering Tuesday's final round. For more information, click here.
