Los Angeles, Calif. - Junior Ryan Hollingshead scored his first goal of the season while senior captain Andy Rose scored his second goal in as many games to lead the No. 16/25 UCLA men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over the Stanford Cardinal on Sunday afternoon.
The Bruins improved to 7-3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the conference while the Cardinal dropped to 3-6-1 on the year and 0-2 in Pac-12 play.
After a scoreless first half, UCLA got on the board early in the 52nd minute, when Eder Arreola sent a through ball in the penalty box to Hollingshead, who took one touch and fired a low liner past Stanford keeper Jason Dodson to the near post.
