Howe Earns College Soccer News Freshman All-America Honors

Los Angeles, Calif. - Freshman Grady Howe was named to the College Soccer News Freshman All-America Team, as announced by the publication today. Howe, a midfielder/defender from Newport Beach, Calif., earned second-team Freshman All-America honors after playing in all 19 matches for the Bruins this season, the only freshman on the team to do so. He made 16 starts, splitting time between right back and defensive midfielder, and helped UCLA earn six shutouts this season. Howe also logged 1,553 minutes during his freshman season and helped lead the Bruins to a 13-3-3 record in 2012. In addition, Howe was one of just two freshmen from the Pac-12 Conference to be named to the College Soccer News Freshman All-America Team.
