Malibu, Calif. - The UCLA men's tennis team enjoyed an outstanding day at the ITA Regionals on Saturday, as three Bruins advanced to the semifinals in singles play at Pepperdine University. With three players in the semifinals, UCLA is assured that at least one player will advance to Monday's final.

Second-seeded Harel Srugo, playing just his first tournament for UCLA, advanced to the semifinals with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over USC's Gary Sacks. He next faces teammate Mathieu Dehaine, who defeated San Diego's Dean Jackson, 6-3, 6-2. That all-Bruin semifinal will begin at Noon.

Also playing tomorrow will be third-seeded Haythem Abid, who downed ninth-seeded James Lemke of Pepperdine, 7-5, 6-4. Lemke defeated Bruin Michael Look, 6-3, 6-3 in the round of 16. Abid faces top-seeded Andre Begemann of Pepperdine, also at Noon.

In doubles, fifth-seeded Abid and partner Nick Meister lost in the semifinals on Saturday to second-seeded Omar Altmann/Begemann of Pepperdine, 9-7.
