Bruins Win 4x400m at Texas Relays

Final Results from the 2004 Texas Relays Austin, TX - At the conclusion of the 77th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relay, held at the University of Texas' Mike A. Myers Stadium, the Bruins results were highlighted by a victory in the 4x400m and a runner-up finish in the distance medley relay. In today's action, the Bruins' distance medley relay placed second in 9:39.94. Ben Aragon led things off with a split of 2:56, followed by Matt Willis' 48.0 400m leg. Nick Thornton ran the 800m leg in 1:49.50. And, Jon Rankin anchored the Bruins in 4:04. Arkansas won in 9:36.11. In the 110m hurdles, Tony Golston placed fifth in 13.88 (+3.0). Florida's Joshua Walker won in 13.47. And, in the mile invitational, Chad Galbreath finished 14th in 4:21.01. In the pole vault, Yoo Kim placed second with a season best vault of 18-0.50 (5.50m). Pat Luke was seventh, clearing 17-4.50 (5.30m). Both marks are regional qualifiers. And, to end the Texas Relays, the Bruin squad of Craig Everhart, Nick Thornton, Jonathan Williams and Denye Versher won in a regional qualifying time of 3:04.25.
