Men's Volleyball Sweeps Anteaters

Mount leads way with 15 kills at UCI/Wyndham West Coast Challenge.

Irvine, CA - UCLA swept UC Irvine, 3-0 in the second match of the Wyndham/West Coast Challenge Friday night.

The Bruins were efficient offensively, hitting .500 (50-10-80) as a team for the match.

UCLA's Cameron Mount led all players with 15 kills, followed by Jonathan Acosta with 12. Matt Komer added 10 kills in the win. Rich Nelson tallied 40 assists and had a match-high five digs.

UC Irvine was led by Jarett Jensen with 14 kills, while Jimmy Pelzel and Kyle Weichert recorded 11 kills apiece. David Kniffin record a match high 45 set assists.

UCLA opens the season 1-0, while the Anteaters drop to 0-1.
