Men's Volleyball Sweeps UC Santa Barbara

Bruins remain unbeaten on the season.

LOS ANGELES -- Top-ranked UCLA remained unbeaten in league play after recording its fifth straight sweep.

The Bruins, 5-0 overall and 2-0 in MPSF action, beat UC Santa Barbara 15-13, 15- 9, 15-10 Friday night to remain in first place before Thursday's showdown with Pepperdine.

Junior Adam Naeve spiked a career high 30 kills and added three aces, three digs and one solo block to pace the Bruins, who hit .346. Senior Tom Stillwell added 11 kills. five kills and three blocks. Kevin Collins led UCSB, 0-2, 0-2, with 17 kills.

On Thursday, Jan. 29 the Bruins travel to Pepperdine, 3-0, 2-0, for a 7 p.m. MPSF Mountain Division showdown with the third ranked Waves. Last season, the Waves and Bruins split a pair of league match, each team winning on its home floor.
