The UCLA men's volleyball team lost its third consecutive match, dropping a five-game decision to Cal State Northridge in Pauley Pavilion Wednesday night.

The Matadors won 28-30, 30-28, 30-23, 25-30, 15-12 in two hours and 10 minutes before 450 fans.

The loss dropped the Bruins' overall record to 4-6; they are 1-5 in conference play. The Matadors, who snapped a three-match losing streak, improved to 7-4 overall, 3-3 in league play.

UCLA sophomore Jonathan Acosta pounded a career-high of 26 kills and added four total blocks and four digs. Sophomore Gray Garrett came off the bench for the Bruins and added 11 kills (.588). Senior Scott Morrow returned from a knee injury for the first time this season and contributed nine kills and six total blocks.

Senior Joe Nargi led the Matadors with 25 kills. Junior Stan Douglas led both teams with 11 total blocks.

The Bruins' next match is Friday, Feb. 7 against UC Santa Barbara at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
