Men's Volleyball Sweeps San Diego State

LOS ANGELES, Calif.-- The top-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team defeated San Diego State, 3-0 Friday night in Pauley Pavilion to improve its record to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in league play. The Aztecs fell to 1-5 records in both league and overall play.
The Bruins won 15-13, 15-2, 15-5 and recorded their seventh consecutive victory over SDSU. UCLA leads the series 60-2.
The Aztecs took an early 7-3 lead in Game 1 only to see the Bruins storm back behind the hot hitting of junior Danny Farmer and sophomore Evan Thatcher, who each spiked 14 kills for the match. Senior captain Tom Stillwell was errorless with eight kills in 15 attempts.
Saturday night the Bruins will host UC San Diego at 7 p.m. in the John Wooden Center. The Bruins have not lost to the Tritons in 27 matches.
