Men's Volleyball Completes USC Tournament

The UCLA men's volleyball team won three of four matches on Saturday in the second day of competition at the USC Fall Tournament at the Galen Center. In their morning match, the Bruins defeated Pacific 25-19, 25-15, 15-13 with senior Thomas Amberg, sophomore Gonzalo Quiroga and freshman Kene Izuchukwu recording eight kills apiece. All matches are best two of three with the option for a third set if the match is decided in the first two. In the second match, Cal State Northridge upended the Bruins 29-27, 25-20, 13-15. Dane Worley led UCLA with nine kills and Robart Page added seven. In their third match of the day, the Bruins beat USC 25-22, 25-21, 13-15. Quiroga and Izuchukwu led UCLA with nine kills each and senior Weston Dunlap added five. In their final match of the day the Bruins defeated Lewis 25-19, 22-25, 20-18. Matt Hanley led UCLA with 14 kills, and Jack Polales and Max Greer added seven kills each. Next Saturday, Oct. 22 UCLA will host the Alumni Match at 3 p.m. in the John Wooden Center. Admission is free.
