In the first night of competition at the annual SAC Tournament, UCLA defeated USC and UC Santa Barbara rallied to beat CS Northridge.

The Bruins won in four sets, 19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-17 behind 15 kills from junior Robart Page and nine kills apiece from Kene Izuchukwu and Gonzalo Quiroga.

On Court 2, UC Santa Barbara outlasted CS Nortridge in five sets, 19-25, 26-28, 25-20, 25-20, 15-13.
