UCLA junior Dane Worley was named MPSF men's volleyball player of the week Monday after establishing five career-highs over four matches last week.

Worley and the Bruins played 20 sets and won three of four matches. They also won their third straight Outrigger Hotels Invitational (eighth overall), and Worley was voted Most Outstanding Player.

During the week, Worley recorded 57 kills, 11 aces, 38 digs, 13 total blocks and 76 points to lead all of the league's nominees. Against CS Northridge, he recorded career-highs of 18 digs and five total blocks. Against Penn State, he served a career-high of five aces and against Ohio State, he led the Bruins with 19 kills (.341) and 24.5 points. In the Outrigger final against Hawaii, he scored 16 points in the Bruins' five-set setback.

Fifth-ranked UCLA will host No. 9 Long Beach State Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
