Seventh-ranked UCLA travels to No. 4 Pepperdine for a key MPSF men's volleyball showdown Saturday at 5 p.m. in Firestone Fieldhouse.

The Bruins (10-8, 6-6) will try to continue the momentum of Monday's convincing three-set victory on the road at USC. In that match, UCLA kept USC off balance the entire night with tough serving and hot hitting. The Bruins served seven aces against 10 errors, while USC committed 12 service errors without an ace. UCLA hit .522, a single-match conference best, and out-blocked the Trojans 6.5-4.0.

Pepperdine (8-4, 8-4) is in fourth place of the conference race after beating UC Santa Barbara in three on Wednesday night. The Waves are 6-0 at home this season and have won three straight (all at Firestone Fieldhouse), including a five-set decision against No.1 BYU on Feb. 15.

Last season the Bruins won both matches against the Waves: winning in five at Pepperdine and sweeping the Waves at UCLA. UCLA leads the all-time series, 76-35.
