The ninth-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team travels to UC San Diego this weekend looking to snap a three-match conference skid.

The Bruins and Tritons will meet Sat., Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in RIMAC Arena on the UCSD campus.

The Tritons (6-9, 2-8) also have lost three straight. On Wednesday night they were swept by conference kingpin UC Irvine, 30-25, 30-28, 30-24. On Feb. 20-21, they lost in three games twice on the road to BYU.

On Jan. 23, the Bruins swept the Tritons, 30-20, 35-33, 30-22. In that match, junior Garrett Muagututia recorded 15 kills (.440) and freshmen Kyle Caldwell and Thomas Amberg each added 10 kills.

In the last three matches Muagututia has been sidelined with an ankle injury, but he is expected to travel to La Jolla for Saturday's match.

The Bruins lead this series 45-1, but suffered their first loss ever to the Tritons last season in five games at UCSD.

The Bruins will host consecutive home matches next week, entertaining Grand Canyon University on Mar. 4 and top-ranked UC Irvine on Mar. 6.
