Top-seeded Stein Metzger and Mike Lambert and fifth-seeded Mark Williams and Nick Lucena were eliminated in the winner's bracket of the Manhattan Beach Open.

Williams and Lucena defeated John Hyden and Brad Keenan, 21-16, 17-21, 15-13 in 54 minutes in round three of the winner's bracket. Also in round three, Dax-Holdren and Sean Scott defeated Metzger-Lambert, 21-19, 21-18 in 54 minutes.

In round four, Holdren and Scott defeated Williams and Lucena, 25-23, 18-21, 16-14 in one hour and 14 minutes. Holdren and Scott advanced to the finals against Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal.
