The UCLA men's volleyball team defeated York University of Toronto 3-0 to complete round robin play in the 18th Husky Dino Cup, hosted by the University of Calgary.

The Bruins won 25-14, 25-17, 25-22 and will advance to the tournament championship on Saturday.

Coach Al Scates rested his starters in the Bruins' second match of the day, and the second team completely dominated the York Lions. In the close third game, Scates called a timeout with the Bruins trailing 21-20. UCLA reeled off the next four points, sparked by a pair of kills by junior Damien Scott. York's Ryan Anderson cut the lead to 24-22 before the Bruins won the match with the next point.

Scott paced the team with nine kills (.750) and five digs, and Gray Garrett, Allan Vince, Paul George and Nick Scheftic each added seven kills. Garrett aced the Lions four times as the Bruins served nine strikes to York's two.

The Bruins also hit .386 and limited the Lions to a percentage of .164.
