Hello Bruin family!
Sorry it has taken me so long to post, but we've been very busy. Moving into the Olympic village was an incredible experience, and we had a day off to soak it all in. The rooms are great (air conditioned), the food is good, and the people are nice. I have no complaints! Opening ceremonies are tonight, and everyone is excited to wear our snazzy outfits. We're hoping it cools off a bit before we get out there, but it should be a remarkable experience! My team makes fun of me a bit for my description of the opening ceremonies in Athens - it's like every emotion pulsing through your body. You have no idea what to expect, and it's a moment you've dreamed of your entire life.
More athletes are beginning to flow into the village, and the games are about to begin! We had training in our venue yesterday, and I think we're ready to get this show on the road! Cheer for us on the 11th!
