Seattle, Wash. - Husky junior Loree Payne became just the 17th player in Washington women's basketball history with over 1,000 career points, leading the hot-shooting Huskies to a 86-53 win over UCLA before 3,077 fans at Bank of America Arena.

Freshman Kayla Burt - who entered the game with just 14 points in the Huskies' first 12 games - led all scorers with 18 on seven-of-11 shooting, including three three-pointers. Fellow frosh Kristen O'Neill (13) and Sarah Keeler (12) each set or equaled career-highs as well, while Payne (15) and junior Kellie O'Neill (10) joined the freshman trio in double-figure scoring.

Senior center Shalada Allen led the Bruins with a career-high 16 points. She also set a new career-high in rebounds with eight, tying teammates Malika Leatham and Jamila Veasley for game-high honors. Seven of Allen's eight rebounds came on the offensive end.

Freshman guard Brianna Winn came off the bench to contribute a career-best 10 points for the second consecutive game. Junior point guard Natalie Nakase chipped in eight points with seven assists.

The Bruins won the battle of the boards for the first time this season, 47-46. UCLA, however, shot just 19.5% in the first half, to Washington's 55.6%, contributing to a 41-20 halftime deficit.
