San Diego, Calif. - Playing without leading scorer Michelle Greco, the UCLA women's basketball team dropped a 79-51 decision to San Diego at Jenny Craig Pavilion on Wednesday.

With Greco on the bench for an undisclosed medical condition, guards Gennifer Arranaga and Jalina Bradley each scored career highs in points with 13 apiece. However, the Toreros hurt the Bruins with 12-24 shooting from three-point range. Kerri Nakamoto did the most damage from beyond the arc, hitting 6-8 three-point shots and finishing with 18 points. Erin Malich scored 17 off the bench for San Diego, and Melissa Glazebrook recorded a double-double with 10 assists and 11 rebounds.

Sophomore forward Jamila Veasley led the team in rebounding with eight, including five offensive boards. Whitney Jones made her season debut, just days after finishing the soccer season. She recorded four rebounds and had two assists in 25 minutes of play.

The Bruins trailed 31-21 at the half until San Diego pulled away in the second half with 53% shooting (64% from the three-point line).

UCLA will host 14th-ranked Colorado on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 1:00 pm in Pauley Pavilion. The game will be televised live by Fox Sports Net.
