Feb. 8, 2010

The UCLA women's basketball game on Saturday Feb. 20 will be played at 4 p.m. (not 8 p.m.) in Pauley Pavilion. The Pacific-10 Conference announced Monday that the contest against Washington State on Feb. 20 had not been selected for television, and as a result the UCLA-WSU game time has been changed.

As a reminder, the Feb. 20 game is the women's basketball team's Pink Zone Day, a promotion held in conjunction with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) which helps to raise awareness for breast cancer. The Bruin team will wear special pink uniforms that day to help bring further attention to the cause.

All fans attending the game are also encouraged to wear pink. To help aid the cause, fans can purchase a pink UCLA Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt for $10 and receive free admission to the game. The t-shirts are currently available for purchase online at uclabruins.com and will be on sale at the BearWear stand outside of Pauley Pavilion before the game.

The pink t-shirt will also be good for admission to the Feb. 14 women's gymnastics meet against Stanford and for the May 1 women's softball game against Oregon.
