The Nikki Caldwell era will begin for the UCLA women's basketball team on Nov. 16 with its season opener against Cal State Fullerton in Pauley Pavilion. On tap for the first-year head coach are non-conference games against 2006 NCAA Champion Maryland (Nov. 23 in College Park, MD) and 2008 NCAA participant San Diego (Dec. 14 in Pauley Pavilion). Other non-conference games of note are December match-ups against Kansas (Dec. 21) and at Texas Tech (Dec. 30).

The Bruins will play the usual Pac-10 Conference slate, with games against 2008 NCAA runner-up Stanford on Jan. 31 on the road and Feb. 27 at home. The Bruins take on cross-town rival USC on Jan. 11 in Pauley Pavilion and Feb. 8 at the Galen Center. For the first time, the State Farm Pac-10 Women's Basketball Tournament will take place in Los Angeles. The Tournament will be held at the Galen Center on the USC campus from Mar. 12-15.
