Four Nationally Televised Games Scheduled For UCLA

UCLA will have four games televised nationally in the 20-game Pac-10 women's basketball television package, which was announced today. Scheduled to be televised on Fox Sports Net are Bruin home games vs. USC (Jan. 8), Oregon (Jan. 15) and Stanford (Feb. 20) and a road match at USC (Feb. 6). The Bruins could also gain additional television exposure with the FSN broadcast of the semifinals and finals of the Pac-10 Tournament March 11 and 12.

"As we celebrate the 25th season of women's sports in the Pac-10, we are excited about the opportunity to showcase our women's basketball teams on a national stage," said Pac-10 Commissioner Larry Scott. "The Pac-10 has a long history of success in women's basketball and we expect a very competitive schedule again this season. Through our relationships with Fox Sports Net and ESPN, college basketball fans will have a chance to see some of the most talented student-athletes in the country and watch some of the most significant games of the 2010-11 women's basketball season."

The 2010 NCAA Championship game rematch between Stanford and Connecticut highlights the non-conference Pac-10 television schedule. The game is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 30 on ESPN2. Other non-conference games to be televised are Texas at Stanford on Sunday, Nov. 28 to tip off the 2010-11 Pac-10 TV schedule, and California at Texas A&M on Saturday, Dec. 4 for a Pac-10/Big 12 clash on Fox Sports Net as part of the Big 12 women's basketball TV slate.

Five consecutive weekends of rivalry matchups are slated to appear on national television on Fox Sports Net, beginning with the Bay Area matchup between Stanford and California on Sunday, Jan. 2 in Berkeley. The following weekend, USC heads to UCLA for a the nationally-televised game on Saturday, Jan. 8. Arizona and Arizona State clash on Sunday, Jan. 16, and Oregon State-Oregon take to the court on FSN on Sunday, Jan. 23. Washington State and Washington cap the first round of rivalries on Sunday, Jan. 30. The rematch of the Arizona, Bay Area and LA teams are also on the slate later in the season.

The television package culminates with the 10th year of the Pac-10 Women's Basketball Tournament. The semifinal games will be televised on Friday, March 11, with the champion being crowned on Saturday, March 12.
