Note: Jalina is a senior guard and three-year letterwinner on the UCLA women's basketball team. Last season, she started in 27 contests and posted six double-figure scoring games, including a career-best 14 points at Stanford. For the year, she averaged 6.3 points and 3.1 rebounds. In 2001, she started 12 games and played in all 29, averaging five points and 1.7 rebounds. At Channel Islands HS, she earned Honorable Mention All-America honors by Street & Smith's and USA Today and was a three-time first-team all-county pick.

Beyond the Glory of AJ Bradley
What's up? Well, first off, let me say thanks to everyone who has been checking out our website!
Wow!!! :) Where do I begin? Okay, well, I just finished my eight-week summer class, Swahili, which is a foreign language spoken in East Africa. Don't trip - I'm getting an "A" in that class. It was cool to learn something new. Everyone always takes Spanish as their foreign language in high school and in college. So I decided (along with some of my other teammates) to try something new for a change and take Swahili. I'm glad I did - now I can talk to my teammates in Swahili and one of them in Samoan. Now I'm taking two sociology classes for my major. I just finished taking both midterms for those classes this past week, and I'm feeling good about both of them. So that's the educational side of my life. Let's talk about basketball! :)
Basketball! My life, my love, my everything! Okay, do you get the point yet? I LOVE BASKETBALL! Wow! We've been working so hard, getting better individually and as a team. We've been lifting, running, running, running and playing, playing and playing! On my own, I shoot a lot and work on ball-handling. This past week has been a little hard because I had two midterms, and my friend who I usually shoot with has been busy. I'm soooo excited about next year! A lot of people are going to be surprised! J I'm not even going to go into how we're going to do next year, I'm just going to let our game do all the talking! (Wow! Okay, I sounded like Kathy right there!) J/K. :) I love you, K.O. So EVERYONE come and check out your Lady Bruins next year - you're in for a real treat!
My social life. I'm a homebody, so I don't do much. I go out dancing and to the movies! Okay, EVERYONE has to go see Lilo and Stitch! It's the cutest movie I've ever seen!!! I LOVE TO DANCE though, like for reals, my teammates can tell you about that one! Ha Ha Ha :) I kick it with my teammates and my best friend in the whole wide world, Chenne Tuimoloau! Representin' Fa'a Samoa Style! That's my partner in crime! I love you girl! "Oute Alofa iate oe!" I also hang out with my friend Lewayne. I got nothing but LOVE for you, boy!!! :)
Well, Bruins, it's been real, but you gotta go. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here! :)
