UCLA Finishes Second at Wildcat Invitational

The top-ranked UCLA women's golf team captured second place at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational Tuesday at the Vistoso Golf Club in Tucson.
The Bruins posted a 54-hole team score of 863 (-1) and placed 12 shots behind host Arizona (851, -13). Arizona State was third at 884 (+20), followed by Colorado at 905 (+41) and Oregon State 908 (+44).
Individually, freshman Erynne Lee placed third to lead the Bruins. She posted a final round 70 (-2) and finished with a three-round total 213 (-2). On her third round scorecard, she boasted a team-high of five birdies. Junior Lee Lopez and sophomore Ani Gulugian tied for fifth place at even par 216. Gulugian posted a final round score of 72 (E) and Lopez carded a 76 (+4). Junior Tiffany Lua tied for eighth at 219 (+3) after posting a 74 (+2) on Tuesday and freshman Kyle Roig tied for 24th at 228 (+12) following a round of 75 (+3). Senior Brianna Do, playing as an individual, finished seventh at 218 (+2) after posting a 74 (+2) in the final round.
Arizona's Manon Gidali won the event with a 54-hole total of 204 (-12), followed by teammate Margarita Ramos at 211 (-5).
