LOS ANGELES -- The 21st ranked UCLA women's golf team finished third at the LSU Fairwood Invitational and senior Amandine Vincent captured individual medalist honors for the second time this season.
The Bruins fired a three-round total of 913 over the par 72, 5,835-yard Fairwood Country Club, highlighted by their first round 298, which was 10-over par and just two strokes off the lead. UCLA's third place finish was their best of the season.
Vincent, who won the Dick McGuire Invitational in September, shot 73-72-75--220 to capture first place honors by one stroke over LSU's Katy Wilkinson. Vincent has been the Bruins' most consistent scorer all season, leading the Bruins in every tournament but one this year and posting the team's best stroke average.
Other individual finishes for UCLA were: Alexandra Gasser, 230, tied for 18th; Julie Oh, 233, tied for 31st; Leilani Bagby, 234, tied for 37th and Alicia Um, 235, tied for 42nd.
