The Bruins, still without senior Tiffany Lua, finished just a stroke behind #9 UC Davis and two strokes behind #2 Arizona. UCLA will enter the second day two strokes ahead of Pac-12 rival Oregon. Individually, the Bruins were led by sophomore Erynne Lee, who went even on the day with a 71 (E) to finish in a seven-way tie for 10th atop the individual leaderboard. Behind Lee was junior Ani Gulugian, who birdied her last hole to notch a 73 (+2) and finish in a tie for 25th overall.
