Women's Golf Team to Host Rally for a Cure at Robinson Ranch

The Bruins will host the charity event on Mar. 28.

The No.2 ranked UCLA women's golf team is hosting a charity fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation on Sunday March 28th at Robinson Ranch Golf Club in Santa Clarita. The team will be conducting two free clinics: one at 9 a.m. and the other at 11 a.m.

"We are very proud to host the Rally for a Cure fundraiser at Robinson Ranch," said Head Coach Carrie Forsyth. "By adopting this charity, we hope to help spread the word throughout the golf community. We are looking forward to having the opportunity to increase community awareness, including the prevention and detection of breast cancer.

"As a women's team, we feel that this issue is very relevant in our lifetimes," she continued.

The Bruins also will be hosting a closest-to-the-pin contest for a donation of $15. Everyone who signs up for the contest receives a subscription to Golf for Women Magazine, as well as other prizes for participating. Robinson Ranch will donate $5 from every green fee on Sunday towards the foundation.

"We have received tremendous support from Robinson Ranch Golf Club," said Forsyth. "It will be a great experience for our team and everyone who visits The Ranch this weekend."
