Thank you. My plans for after the season definitely have coaching in them. I actually want Miss Val's job. My other plans are up in the air. I would love to act - commercials and either a sitcom or Saturday Night Live. I definitely love comedy. I also love Psychology and would want to work with troubled teens.
Yanni, El Centro
My favorite moment in my college career so far is winning the National Championship my freshman and junior years. Nothing is better than winning as a team!!!
I love competing at home!! It's a great feeling having so much support in Pauley Pavilion. Also, because I am from San Dimas, a lot of my friends and family get to watch. I am so excited that we are hosting Nationals this weekend!
Marta (Culver City)
The transition from elite to college gymnastics wasn't too difficult. I really enjoyed the fact that we didn't have to train as many hours. My body definitely has felt the difference. Also, to come in and be a part of a team right away was really amazing. Miss Val and my teammates made the adjustment for me so much easier.
Patty (Santa Monica)
My injury is in my left ankle, and it is not the same as it was in the Olympics. I had surgery last June, and it didn't heal properly. I am in a lot of pain. This year has been very difficult for me because I cannot compete at my best because I am not healthy. However, I am just happy that I can be out there on bars and floor, and I have been a lot more fortunate than other gymnasts. I have no regrets, and my college career in gymnastics has been the best 4 years of my life!
Steve (San Dimas)
My goal for this season is to help my team win another National Championship!!!
Adrian, Laguna Niguel
My international and college careers have been two completely different experiences. It's hard to compare. I have accomplished many of my goals in both areas, and that's what I am happy about. As far as being recognized, it doesn't happen that often but when it does, I feel honored. I like when people recognize me because I love gymnastics fans! We need more of them!!
