Dual meets against the Top 3 teams from the 2008 NCAA Championships - Georgia, Utah and Stanford - and a home-home series with NCAA Championship host Nebraska highlight the 2009 schedule for the UCLA Gymnastics team.

UCLA kicks off the season on Friday, Jan. 9 with a dual meet at NCAA runner-up and nine-time NCAA champion Utah. The Bruins host defending NCAA champion Georgia on Sunday, Mar. 8 and travel to third-place finisher Stanford on Sunday, Feb. 8.

The Bruins will face Nebraska twice in the regular season, traveling to Lincoln on the weekend of Feb. 20 (actual date to be determined) and then hosting the Huskers on Mar. 15 in the Bruins' home finale. UCLA is aiming for a return visit to Lincoln on Apr. 16-18 for the NCAA Championships.

The Bruins' home schedule begins on Sunday, Jan. 18 with a dual meet against Pac-10 rival Arizona. Also on the home schedule is a dual meet with California on Jan. 25 and a multi-team meet with Washington and Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 15.

UCLA returns two All-Americans from last year's squad - Kristina Comforte and Anna Li - as well as 2008 All-Pac-10 performer Ariana Berlin. A talented incoming freshmen class will also join the team, led by 2008 Canadian Olympian Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs.
