"You can't win 'em all." That's what my mom said when I called her after the meet on Sunday. So, as I thought about what my mom said I also reflected on the meet. To say I am not disappointed about the meet would not be true. However, when I look at the good changes we made in this competition, and our ultimate potential, I get really excited about going in the gym to get ready for our next meet. I see how good we are in training and that we haven't yet transferred all of that confidence onto the competition floor, but know it's coming.

Being a 5th-year student-athlete, it's interesting to see that this year's team is going through the same learning curve that our previous four teams went through. Its exciting because things in practice have been clicking and changing, and there is a commitment to working on details instead of just getting through a routine. To know that we are on the right track to be peaking at the right time is an awesome feeling. I probably wouldn't be so confident of our team's potential right now if I hadn't lived through four very different but similar seasons.

Another exciting thing that happened on Sunday, well actually the week before the meet really, was watching everyone step up and not miss a beat when we found out that Kate would not be competing on Sunday. Now that is a true sign of a great team!

So mom, we may not win 'em all, but it sure fires us up for next time! I hope to see all of you this Sunday for the Senior meet ... It will be the last time Kisha, Teddy, and I compete in Pauley. GREAT MEMORIES!

Thanks for all your support these past five years
