Box Score

Northridge, Calif. - The third-ranked UCLA women's soccer team pushed its winning streak to seven on Friday, as the Bruins notched a pair of first-half goals to register a 2-0 victory over Cal State Northridge at the Matador Soccer Field.

After hitting the post just two minutes into the match, senior Kristina Larsen scored her seventh goal of the season on shot from 15 yards out in the 18th minute. Larsen received a ball from freshman Sophie Metz and dribbled through the Matador defense before hitting a shot that deflected off a Northridge defender and into the goal.

Senior Lauren Cheney scored the Bruins' second goal of the day, as she headed in a cross from Elise Britt at the 43:00 mark. Whitney Sharpe was also credited with an assist on that play. Britt entered the match in the 21st minute, replacing an injured Kara Lang who left the game and did not return.

UCLA heads to Santa Barbara this Sunday to take on the UCSB Gauchos at 4:00 p.m.
