Snow Named Assistant Coach for Women's Soccer Program

Former Indiana standout promoted from volunteer to full-time assistant.

Feb. 14, 2007

LOS ANGELES - UCLA women's soccer head coach Jillian Ellis announced the hiring of former Indiana standout B.J. Snow to the position of assistant coach on Wednesday. Snow, who was a volunteer assistant coach with the program during the 2006 season, is being promoted to full-time assistant after Mark Carr was recently hired as head coach at the University of San Francisco.

"I'm thrilled that B.J. has accepted my offer to become a full-time member of our staff," said Ellis. "He's got a great understanding of the game, and he has proven himself to be an excellent teacher. I look forward to having him continue to work with our players and to help us be successful both on and off the field."

Snow was a four-year starter on defense at the University of Indiana from 1996-99. During his time in Bloomington, he helped the Hoosiers capture four-straight Big Ten titles, including back-to-back championships in 1998 and '99.

Prior to arriving in Westwood last season, Snow spent four years as the head coach at his former high school, Portage Central in Kalamazoo, Mich.
