Five Bruins Earn NSCAA All-Pacific Region Honors

A total of five UCLA women's soccer players earned NSCAA All-Pacific Region honors in 2012, led by first-team selections Zakiya Bywaters, Abby Dahlkemper and Sarah Killion. Making the third team were Katelyn Rowland and Jenna Richmond.
Bywaters, a senior forward, is a first-team All-American and a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy (Vote Here). The Pac-12 Player of the Year led the conference in goals scored (15), points (34) and game-winning goals (6). She is a repeat first-team All-Pacific Region honoree.
Dahlkemper also repeats as first-team All-Region. The sophomore defender started all 23 games for the Bruins and ranked second on the team in minutes played, with 2,016 out of a possible 2,120. She was on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and earned first-team All-America and All-Pac-12 honors.
Killion, a sophomore midfielder, is a first-time honoree on the All-Region team. She was also selected to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Season (second team) after scoring with 12 points (3 goals, 6 assists). Killion played and started in 17 games and was a first-team All-Pac-12 selection.
Rowland, a sophomore goalkeeper, led the Pac-12 with 11 shutouts and a 0.55 goals against average. She earned second-team all-conference honors.
Junior midfielder Richmond led UCLA in assists and ranked third in the Pac-12 with seven, including a school record-tying three against Princeton. She was a honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection this year.
UCLA finished the season with an 18-3-2 record and a NCAA Quarterfinal appearance. The Bruins ended the season ranked No. 6 in the final NSCAA coaches poll.
