Pac-12 Announces Softball Television Schedule

2013 UCLA Softball Schedule | Printable Schedule WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pac-12 Conference has announced the 2013 softball television schedule, which features the Bruins nine times live on either Pac-12 Networks, ESPN2 or ESPNU, including all three games of the sport's best rivalry, UCLA vs. Arizona. With the nine televised games comes many date and time changes to the UCLA schedule. The TV slate begins with the start of Pac-12 play when the Bruins host Arizona State (March 22-24). The middle game of the series, on Saturday, March 23, will be televised on Pac-12 Networks and will be a 2 p.m. start at Easton Stadium. The series opener on Friday, March 22 will be at 7 p.m., while the final contest on Sunday, March 24 will be at 12 p.m. The Bruins then head to the Bay Area to take on Stanford during Easter Weekend (March 28-30). The Thursday, March 28 game will be live on Pac-12 Networks at 7 p.m., with 7 p.m. (Friday, March 29) and 12 p.m. (Saturday, March 30) matchups rounding out the series. The first week of April will feature six games and two doubleheaders in six days, as UCLA hosts Washington (Tuesday, April 2 doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. and Wednesday, April 3 single game at 12 p.m.) and travels to Utah (Saturday, April 6 twinbill starting at 12 p.m. PT and Sunday, April 7 single game at 11 a.m. PT). The final contest in Salt Lake City will air live on Pac-12 Networks. The first of three regular-season games for the Bruins on the ESPN Family of Networks will be against California at Easton Stadium. The originally-scheduled Friday-Sunday series will shift to Thursday-Saturday to accommodate an 8 p.m. start time for the ESPN2 broadcast on Thursday, April 11. The following night, the Bruins and the Bears will battle at 5 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks, with the series concluding on Saturday, April 13 at 6 p.m. The following weekend, the premier rivalry in college softball will take place in Tucson, as the Bruins face Arizona in another Pac-12 series that shifts from Friday-Sunday to Thursday-Saturday. The opening contest will be televised on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, while the middle game on Friday, April 19 will air on ESPNU at 5 p.m. The final contest of the series on Saturday, April 20 will be televised on Pac-12 Networks at 7 p.m. After a two-week break from the tube, the Bruins are back on the TV screen during the final weekend of the regular season. UCLA travels to Oregon State (May 9-11) and will close the regular season with a 1 p.m. affair on Saturday, May 11 on Pac-12 Networks. |
