Swimming Wraps Up Texas Invite With More Fast Times

The UCLA swimmers wrapped up the final day of competition at the Texas Invite in Austin with more fast times and NCAA qualifying marks. As the 2011 portion of the season comes to a close with the conclusion of the Texas Invite, the Bruins will be poised and ready for big things in 2012.
On the day, the Bruins tallied 13 season-bests, three lifetime-bests and 10 NCAA "B" qualifying marks.
Yasi Jahanshahi led the way as she competed in the A Final of the 200 fly where she swam a season-best and "B" time of 1:55.84 to finish third overall. Four of the five Bruins swimming in finals of the fly posted season-best times. Stephanie Christofferson was 11th in the B Final with a season-best mark of 1:59.10. Karoline Sanderud, also in the B Final, was 13th overall with a lifetime-best of 1:59.17. In the C Final, Bianca Casciari finished 20th (2:00.60). Isabel Williams swam a lifetime-best of 2:04.75 in the D Final to finish 27th overall.
Kathryn Murphy was the lone finalist in the 100 free and she finished 17th overall in the C Final with a season-best time of 49.62.
It was a big night in the 100 back as Anna Senko won the B Final with a season-best time of 1:56.29. Jesse Bergman was 12th as she swam 1:59.09. Andrea Reigel won the C Final as she swam a lifetime-best of 1:57.43. Laurence Delisle was 20th (1:58.58) as she was also in the C Final. In the D Final, Annie Stefanec finished 27th (2:00.24).
Lauren Baker was the sole competitor in the 1650 free as she swam a season-best of 16:38.35 to finish seventh overall.
The 400 free relay wrapped up the night with a ninth-place swim as Bergman, Murphy, Madison Fitzgerald and Casciari swam 3:20.57.
