Karina Silva has been named Pac-10 Diver of the Month, the Pac-10 Conference announced on Wednesday. Silva, a senior, was honored for her performance during the month of December.

Silva competed on both springboard events at the Texas Invitational in Austin where she finished eighth in the final of one-meter with a score of 259.00. She also finished 11th on three-meter (270.45), just missing a spot in the finals by 13 points.

This was the first Pac-10 honor for the swimming and diving team this season and the first conference honor for the senior.
