Six Swimmers Headed to Alabama for NCAA Championship

Six Bruin swimmers will be competing this Thurs.-Sat. at the 2012 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Auburn, AL.
Those heading to NCAAs are senior Bianca Casciari (100 fly/200 fly), freshman Allison Gargalikis (100 breast), senior Yasi Jahanshahi (100 fly/200 fly), sophomore Kathryn Murphy (50 free/100 free/200 free), sophomore Anna Senko (200 IM/200 back/100 fly) and freshman Noelle Tarazona (200 fly/200 IM/400 IM).
The Bruins will also compete in the 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay and 800 free relay.
Murphy broke the school record in both the 50 free and 100 free this season, while Gargalikis (100 breast) and Tarazona (400 IM) set freshman records.

The meet will be broadcasted live on ESPN3 for Friday and Saturday's competition, beginning at 5:00 pm (PT). ESPNU will also run coverage of the meet on Mar. 21 at 4:00 pm (PT).
Thursday's competition features the 200 freestyle relay, 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle, one-meter diving and 400 medley relay. Friday's events include 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, three-meter diving and the 800 freestyle relay. Saturday wraps up the meet with the 1650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, platform diving and 400 freestyle relay.
Prelims begin at 9:00 am (PT) each day, with finals to follow at 5:00 pm (PT).
