Bruins Ready for NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - A group of 10 UCLA swimmers and divers will descend on Indianapolis this week for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium at IUPUI. The Championships begin on Thursday and run through Saturday.
Live video of all three days of preliminaries and Thursday finals are available at the links above. Friday and Saturday's finals will be streamed online at ESPN3.com.
Day one of the meet begins on Thursday at 8 a.m. PT with the preliminaries of six events. The Bruins are represented in all six, starting with the 200 Freestyle Relay. Junior Lauren Baker will then swim in the 500 Freestyle prelims, which will be followed by a trio of Bruins in the 200 Individual Medley, senior Andrea Reigel, junior Anna Senko and sophomore Noelle Tarazona.
Juniors Kathryn Murphy and Ting Quah get in the pool next for the 50 Freestyle Relay, with the swimming prelims rounding out with the 400 Medley Relay. While the relay teams have not been determined yet, the seven Bruin swimmers who qualified for individual events will be joined by sophomore Jessica Khojasteh and freshman Katie Kinnear.
The first diving event will be the One-Meter, with sophomore Emma Ivory-Ganja representing the Bruins. All six of the morning events will have their finals begin at 4 p.m. PT.
On Friday, the Bruins will take part in four of day two's seven events. The 400 Individual Medley will feature four Bruins, Baker, Reigel, Senko and Tarazona. The 400 IM is followed by the 100 Butterfly, with senior Stephanie Christofferson hitting the pool with Quah.
Ivory-Ganja is back in action with the Three-Meter prelims, which will be followed by the 800 Freestyle Relay finals. The 400 IM, 100 Fly and Three-Meter finals start at 4 p.m. PT.
The Bruins are represented in five of seven events on the final day on Saturday. Reigel swims the first Saturday prelim, the 200 Backstroke, which will be followed by the 100 Free, with Murphy and Quah swimming for the Bruins.
Three are in the 200 Fly, Christofferson, Senko and Tarazona, while Baker swims the final of the 1650 Freestyle. Ivory-Ganja also takes part in the Platform to round out her meet. The Platform, 200 Back, 100 Free and 200 Fly finals begin at 4 p.m. PT.
