Second-Ranked Bruins Blank Saint Mary's, 4-0

Moraga, Calif. - The No. 2 UCLA women's tennis team wrapped up its Northern California road trip with another win on Saturday, downing No. 30 Saint Mary's, 4-0 at the Korth Tennis Complex in Moraga, Calif.
Freshmen Catherine Harrison and Kyle McPhillips set the tone for UCLA in doubles on Saturday, cruising to an 8-0 victory over Jade Frampton and Audrey Leitz at court No. 3. Robin Anderson and Chanelle Van Nguyen then clinched the point for the Bruins at court No. 1, where they downed Danielle Flores and Jenny Jullien, 8-4. Saint Mary's did manage to get a win in doubles at the No. 2 spot, however the point had already been clinched by the time of that victory.
Harrison also turned in a stellar performance in singles action, as she put UCLA up 2-0 with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Catherine Leduc at court No. 5. Junior Courtney Dolehide followed with a straight-set victory of her own at court No. 6, as she lost just two games in a 6-0, 6-2 win over Elizabeth Searl.
Anderson, who is ranked No. 6 nationally in singles, clinched the win for UCLA at the No. 1 position, as she beat Jullien, 6-2, 7-6(6) to put the Bruins up 4-0. Following Anderson's victory, the remaining three singles matches were suspended.
UCLA's next match will be at Pepperdine on Feb. 28. First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
