AUSTIN, Texas - The No. 2 ranked UCLA women's tennis team was upset at the University of Texas, ranked No. 4 in the nation, at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center today. The loss brings UCLA's record to 9-5 overall while Texas posted its sixth consecutive win and improved to 7-1 overall.
The teams split the singles matches down the middle with UCLA posting wins at position Nos. 3, 4 and 6 and Texas claiming the Nos. 1, 2 and 5 slots. The Bruins then claimed the first doubles match to finish, but the Longhorns rallied to win the final two doubles and claim the team victory.
