Schnack, Remynse Advance, Inbar Falls at ITA Intercollegiate Indoors

West Haven, Conn. - UCLA's Yasmin Schnack was victorious in both singles doubles on Thursday, as the ITA Intercollegiate Indoor Championships kicked off at Yale's Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.

The day started with doubles, as Schnack and partner Andrea Remynse, who are seeded fourth in the 16-team doubles draw, posted an 8-3 victory over Brown's Bianca Aboubakare/Cassandra Herzberg. Next up for the Bruin duo is a match against Marshall's Michaela Kissell/Dominika Zaprazna on Friday at 8:00 a.m. (EST).

Schnack then pulled off a big upset in singles, knocking off third-seeded Chelsey Gullickson of Georgia, 7-6(5), 6-2. She will face Cal's Marina Cossou in the round of 16 on Friday beginning at 10:30 a.m. (EST).

UCLA men's tennis player Amit Inbar, who is also competing in the singles draw in West Haven, fell to top-seeded J.P. Smith of Tennesseee, 6-4, 6-4 in the first round on Friday.
