LOS ANGELES - The UCLA men's and women's tennis teams round out the fall season this week, with players heading to three tournaments, one of which is the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in New York.

Heading to the Big Apple for the UCLA men's team are sophomores Marcos Giron and Dennis Mkrtchian. Giron, who claimed the singles title at the USTA/ITA Southwest Regionals in October, is the fifth seed at the Indoors and opens up play on Thusday against Elon's Cameron Silverman. Mkrtchian faces seventh-seeded Nik Scholtz of Mississippi, also on Thursday. Giron and Mkrtchian are not playing doubles in New York.

Competing at the Indoors for the Bruin women will be Robin Anderson and Pamela Montez. Anderson is seeded fifth in singles and faces Natalie Beazant of Rice in the opening round. She and Montez are competing in the doubles draw and will take on Virginia's Maci Epstein and Erin Vierra on Friday.

There are also two local tournaments on tap this week. Five women's players will be at the Kramer Classic in Rolling Hills, Calif. Courtney Dolehide, Kaitlin Ray, Catherine Harrison, Holly Fleming and Skylar Morton are entered into that tournament. The Bruin men are hosting the 56th Annual Southern California Intercollegiate Championships at UCLA's Los Angeles Tennis Center. Ryoto Tachi, Karue Sell, Dennis Novikov and Warren Hardie are representing UCLA in that event, which begins with qualifying on Wednesday.
